Project Challenges
The project needed to expand the temple complex without feeling separate from it. The new block had to support multiple functions including stay spaces for saints and guests, dining, administration, and a banquet hall, while still maintaining smooth movement within the temple campus. Another major challenge was achieving the same traditional visual character as the existing white marble temple without pushing the construction cost too high.
Our Solution
Studio Inside Out approached the project as a contextual extension, taking cues from the existing temple in its massing, proportions, and detailing so the new structure feels naturally connected to the original. A bridge link was introduced at the first-floor level to ensure seamless circulation, while GRC was used in the elevation as a more practical alternative to marble, allowing traditional temple detailing to be carried forward with precision, durability, and better cost control.
