Project Challenges
The bridge was created to carry drainage pipelines, but the challenge was to make it feel like more than just a utility structure. Since it sits within Vadodara’s public context, the design needed to respect function first while also creating a visual identity that felt connected to the city.
Our Solution
Studio Inside Out turned the service bridge into a design statement inspired by the Vishwamitri River and the crocodile, one of Vadodara’s strongest natural references. The form follows a subtle crocodile-like silhouette, while the perforated panels bring in the idea of textured scales. What could have remained a purely technical element was shaped into a public-facing structure with character, context, and purpose.
